HYPNOTHERAPY

Hypnotherapy is a guided approach that uses focused inward attention and relaxation to explore patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaviour - including those that operate at a more automatic or subconscious level.

It is a calm, collaborative process in which you remain in control throughout. Contrary to popular myth, hypnosis does not involve being "put under." It involves entering a focused, trance-like state that allows the mind to engage more openly with habits, responses, and perspectives that sit outside everyday conscious awareness.

In practice, this means working with stress and nervous system responses, habitual or subconscious patterns that shape behaviour, emotional regulation, and the kind of thinking that keeps you stuck in the same place, even when you know something needs to change

What is Hypnotherapy?

My Approach

I am a registered Clinical Hypnotherapist with a PhD and MSc in Neuroscience, alongside a background in psychology, which shapes everything about how I work. I offer a bespoke practice, tailored to each individual and my neuroscience background informs everything from the techniques I use, to the way I understand what's keeping someone stuck.

Sessions draw on current research into how the brain forms habits, encodes beliefs, and responds to change. Depending on what issues a person facing, I may use cognitive hypnotherapy, suggestion hypnotherapy, regression, inner child work, or analytical approaches, combined with EMDR and somatic work where appropriate.

I work with anxiety, low confidence, stress, imposter syndrome, and the kind of recurring patterns that feel hard to shift despite your best efforts.

Sessions are mainly online, 50–60 minutes, and available across the UK. I offer a limited number of in-person session in central London, which are available upon request. To make meaningful, long-term change, most people work with me for 3 – 6 sessions, depending on what they would like help with. If you'd like to find out whether this might be a good fit, I offer a free 15-minute introductory call with no pressure.

Sessions are integrative and informed by neuroscience, integrating hypnotherapy, somatic approaches and elements of Hypno-EMDR and related therapeutic approaches, where appropriate.

Please note: this work is not a replacement for medical or psychiatric care. I do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions, and sessions are offered within a clearly defined therapeutic scope.
